Less is More: using microorganisms to grow fish
0 Comment
As part of the #H2020 #IFishIENCI project Aller Aqua Research are formulating fish feed using fungi, and both photoautotrophic and heterotrophic microalgae. These microorganisms are being produced by NORCE as ingredients to replace fishmeal obtained from wild fish populations. The first batches of these novel protein sources have been produced successfully and large amounts are now being cultivated for future trials that will take place later this year.
