iFishIENCi sets plans for the summer trial on barramundi
0 Comment
iFishIENCi partners, Aller Aqua Research & Development and AquaBioTech Group, met together last week to a plan for the project’s summer trial. The experiment will be carried out in Malta, monitoring the biological and physical aspects of barramundi. Camera technology will be used to monitor fish behavior during feeding trials, and sensors will be used to monitor water quality parameters within the cultivation system. Barramundi, also known as Asian seabass, is an important high-value aquaculture species, and is a promising candidate fish for cultivation within land-based systems.
