Publication Available: Tracking and Analysis of the Movement Behavior of European Seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) in Aquaculture Systems
We are very proud to share the research published by our iFishIENCi colleagues in Frontiers in animal science as part of the research topic Animal Welfare – Volume II: Using Bio-sensing Devices to Assess Farm Animal Welfare. Researchers at Hellenic Center for Marine Research have published their article titled Tracking and Analysis of the Movement Behavior of European Seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) in Aquaculture Systems. The work of Dimitra G. Georgopoulou, Orestis Stavrakidis-Zachou , Nikos Mitrizakis and Nikos Papandroulakis is contributing significantly to the demonstration of how movement tracking can support higher precision in aquaculture production “crucial for achieving precision in everyday husbandry practices (i.e. for optimizing farm performance), and for improving fish welfare in aquaculture”. Congratulations to the team!
